R.I.P. Steve Jobs, Apple Releases Statement
Steve Jobs is one person who crossed all cultural, political, and racial lines. And he gave us a whole new facet of technology and products which now seems none of us go without. The outspoken co-founder of Apple, Inc. and Pixar Animation Studios died today after battling cancer for years. The official statement from Apple, Inc. inside... President Obama with Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg, and others at the Silicon Valley dinner in 2011 Apple said today: ?We are deeply saddened to announce that Steve Jobs passed away today,? the company said in its statement, released shortly after 4:30 p.m. ?Steve?s brilliance, passion and energy were the source of countless innovations that enrich and improve all of our lives. The world is immeasurably better because of Steve. His greatest love was for his wife, Laurene, and his family. Our hearts go out to them and to all who were touched by his extraordinary gifts.? Apple has lost a visionary and a creative genius, and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple. If you would like to share your thoughts, memories, and condolences, please email rememberingsteve@apple.com His complete innovative foresight in the technology world (and leadership style) is much appreciated. Here's Steve's much acclaimed commencement address "How To Live Before You Die" at Stanford Univ. back in 2005.Sylvia Miles
